Looking Ahead to Christmas

I know it is only the middle of the year as I write this, but like any sensible girl, I am planning for Christmas early.

I always celebrate Christmas together with my loved ones, however this year, as I have just found out, it's just my cats and me.

Yes, my existing situation involves observing the holidays alone without my loved ones. My parents have moved to Scotland, and my partner is going to be away for 3 months on an overseas placement. Not good  :(

All I can do is to get along and deal with it. It is going to be a challenge.

I am thinking about not really celebrating it in any way yet I do not want to ruin the holiday spirit this far in advance.

It's very good that I am not the only one going through this. There are persons who don't observe Christmas time. Not everyone could celebrate with their own family during the holidays. It's either their loved ones are really miles away or they wish to observe it on their own. Other people celebrate it with their close friends or simply do not feel much about it. Like me, they face the absence of activities during the holiday season. I nowadays see myself preparing what to make on Christmas Eve.

I came up with several things to accomplish during the holidays. This isn't only for people who are actually alone during the holidays. It's also for individuals that are easily bored to death during Christmas. I do not intend to forego enjoying. I'm simply about to do things during Christmas that does not involve family, friends, or any tribe of people. Ordering from personalised Christmas cards supplier online and sending them is an activity anyone can perform. That's one particular way to spend your time during Christmas.

I'm definitely going to do something along with my cats. All right, I'm cat woman simply because it sounds better compared to a cat lady. I am likely to embellish the tree to get the Christmas spirit and the likes. And then, my kittens and cats can demolish it after. In exchange, I'll purchase bunny headband presents for my cats and for myself. We'll all wear them while we feast on Chinese food. Everybody would be happy with that.

Another idea is to go off film watching during Christmas. For sure, I would not feel like going out on that day. Anywhere I will look, there'll be a lot of constant reminders of the terrific time other individuals are having. I would want to stay inside and view 'Nightmare before Christmas' or something like that. I could include 'Elf' on my movie listing too. I am sure to watch 'Home Alone' since it's the perfect Christmas film.

One last thought of just how to enjoy Christmas alone is to do some intense clean-up. Cleaning up gets my mind off things. It makes me really feel all important and grown up. I'm planning to document everything I do and make a photo card from it. I'll have a photo mosaic in corporate and company Christmas cards and then mail it as a thank you for the gifts I got. That way people would know how I spent my Christmas. I am excited and cannot wait around to find out how it works out.
